Who we are

ComedyBox Scheduler (improvutah.com) is the private cast-scheduling app for The Comedy Box, an improv comedy show in Provo, Utah. It is operated by the show's scheduling team. Questions or requests about this policy: jddjensen@gmail.com.

What we collect

Accounts are invite-only, created for current Comedy Box cast members. For each member we store: name, email address, a mobile phone number, profile photo, and scheduling data (monthly availability, show assignments, weekend confirmations, and free-agent posts). Optional player-card submissions include Common, Rare, Super Rare, and Epic photos, stage name, hometown, improv debut year, estimated shows performed, specialties, signature characters, favorite games, catchphrases, and a bio. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider. Like most web services, our hosting providers keep routine technical logs (such as IP addresses) to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

To run cast scheduling and prepare player trading cards for The Comedy Box: building and publishing monthly casts, showing schedules to team members, sending scheduling notifications, and coordinating cover when someone gives up a date. Published show schedules include performer names and cast roles on our public schedule page. Member photos and contact information are available only inside the signed-in app. Profile photos are stored privately and served through authenticated requests. Player-card drafts and photos are accessible to you and active admins. Pressing Submit emails your card details and all four photos as attachments to James Jensen at jddjensen@gmail.com. We retain a submission snapshot to track email delivery and prevent duplicate sends. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send marketing messages.

Text messages (SMS)

Members provide their mobile number during onboarding so the team can send scheduling texts. They can remove it later from their profile. Messages are transactional scheduling notices — an account set-up link and show reminders such as "reply OK to lock in your spot" — typically a few per month around shows you're cast in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time or HELP for help; you can also remove your number on your profile page to stop all scheduling texts.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages described above.

Service providers we rely on

We share data only with the vendors that run the service, and only so they can provide it: Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage), Netlify (web hosting), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data on our behalf; none may use it for their own marketing.

Your choices and retention

You can view and update your name, phone number, photo, and password on your profile page at any time, and your player-card information on the PTC page. You can permanently delete your account through Profile → Delete account, on the website or in the iPhone app. This removes your profile, uploaded photos, card submissions, and linked scheduling records from our active systems. Shared show dates remain. Previously delivered emails and text messages may remain in recipients’ inboxes; service-provider backups and security logs follow those providers’ retention policies. We keep your information while you're part of the team; if you leave the cast or want your data removed, email jddjensen@gmail.com for help with account deletion. This service is for adult cast members and is not directed at children under 13.

iPhone app

The iPhone app uses the same website and account data. Your sign-in session is stored on your device. Choosing a photo uploads only the image you select; camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo. Adding a show to Apple Calendar opens Apple’s event editor. We do not read or upload your personal calendar. The app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
